The other day I was thinking about how we take so much for granted these days - there are so many little things (and big things) in our lives that we don't acknowledge. I decided to start writing a list of the things I'm grateful for, so that when I'm feeling down I can have a look at this list and realise how lucky I am. I guess this list will end up pretty long, so I'll write it in installments, perhaps every week or just when I feel like it.
These are no particular order - just in the order that I think of them.
1. I have two parents and two grandparents who are all lovely.
2. I have four incredible cousins who are intelligent, funny, patient, kind and inadvertently hilarious (yes you, J).
3. I have numerous other charming and caring extended family members.
4. I have lots of amazing friends.
5. I live in a house with solid walls, a roof that doesn't leak, running water, electricity, gas, air conditioning, Internet access and a bedroom to myself.
6. I have plenty of clothes to cover my back, school supplies, shoes and other objects that could be considered necessities.
7. I have plenty of objects that couldn't be considered necessities.
Hmmm....Just writing this has made me feel better. I should try it more often! xx
